Managed Microsoft 365 support for UK businesses
Someone to look after your Microsoft 365 day to day, from a UK company that also builds on it. Written scope, with target response times agreed in your plan.
In short
Managed Microsoft 365 support means an outside provider looks after your tenant day to day, including users, SharePoint, Teams, security settings and licences. APPS 365, a UK publisher of Microsoft 365 apps, offers these plans with a written scope and target response times agreed in your plan, priced after a free call.
Why businesses look for Microsoft 365 support
Microsoft 365 rarely fails all at once. It drifts, because looking after it is nobody's main job.
Nobody owns Microsoft 365 day to day.
Your plan gives it an owner. Routine admin, changes and requests go to one place, with a record of what was done.
General helpdesks struggle with SharePoint problems.
We write software for SharePoint, so permissions, lists and web parts are familiar ground, and we look for the root cause.
You cannot tell what is covered until the invoice arrives.
Scope is written down before the plan begins, including what is left out and how extra work gets agreed.
Security settings and licences have not been checked for a long while.
Regular reviews look at sign-in settings, sharing and unused licences, and report back in plain English.
What you get from a support plan
One route for requests
Staff questions and admin changes come through an agreed route, instead of landing on whoever seems to know most.
Fixes at the root
We build on this platform, so we can look past the symptom and deal with what is causing the fault.
Clear response targets
You work with target response times agreed in your plan, so everyone knows what to expect.
Regular security checks
We review sign-in settings, guest access and external sharing, and flag anything that needs a decision from you.
Licence housekeeping
We look for unused or mismatched licences, including Copilot seats, and advise on what to keep.
Tidy enough for Copilot
Copilot shows people what they can already open, so keeping permissions in order helps prevent awkward surprises.
What a plan can cover
Your plan lists exactly what is covered. Most plans are built from these parts:
- Day-to-day admin: users, groups, permissions and routine settings
- SharePoint help with sites, libraries, lists and permission faults
- Teams settings, team owners and guest access
- Licence reviews with plain advice on what to keep
- Security reviews of sign-in, sharing and admin roles
- Written notes on how your tenant is set up
- Help with any APPS 365 apps you run in your tenant
What is in scope and what is not
Unclear scope is what causes surprise costs. This is the usual shape, and your written plan has the final word.
| Area | Usually covered | Usually left out or agreed separately |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 admin | Users, groups, permissions and routine settings | Faults on Microsoft's side, which only Microsoft can fix |
| SharePoint and Teams | Help with sites, libraries, channels and tidy-ups | New intranets and migrations, quoted as projects |
| Licences | Advice on what you use and what you could drop | The licence fees, unless your plan says otherwise |
| Backup | Checking what is in place and advising on the gaps | A third-party backup product, agreed separately |
| Other software | Help where it connects to Microsoft 365 | Support for your line-of-business apps |
| Devices and networks | Not part of a typical plan | Laptops, printers, networks and phones, which stay with your IT provider |
Response times, and how this differs from product support
Each plan works to target response times agreed in your plan. They are targets, so read them as targets, and check on the call that they suit your working hours and the risk you carry.
Managed support is separate from support for our apps. If you use an APPS 365 app, product support aims to respond in 8 hours. That aim applies to product questions only, which go through our Support page.
How a plan gets started
- 1
Free review call
We talk through your tenant, what keeps going wrong and who looks after it now. No obligation.
- 2
Plan and quote
The plan comes to you in writing: what is covered, what is not, target response times and the price.
- 3
Onboarding
We agree the access we need, record how your tenant is set up and note anything that needs attention early.
- 4
Day-to-day support
Requests reach us through the agreed route. We fix, explain and keep a record.
- 5
Regular review
We look at what came up, plus security and licences, and agree what should change.
Software we publish for the platform you want looked after
We have no client stories to show here. These are our own products, not client work, so you can judge how we approach Microsoft 365.
How plans are priced
Plans are priced after a free call, with a written fixed quote before work starts. The figure depends on the size of your organisation and how much you want covered, so we do not publish a rate card. Your quote shows how the fee is worked out.
- Free 30-minute call first
- Written quote showing scope and price
- Licences and out-of-scope work shown separately

Frequently asked questions
How much does managed Microsoft 365 support cost per user?
We do not publish a per-user rate. Plans are priced after a free call, with a written fixed quote before work starts, because the cost depends on how many people you have and what you want covered.
What is included in a managed Microsoft 365 service?
Typically day-to-day admin, SharePoint and Teams help, licence reviews and security checks. Your written plan lists what is in and out of scope, so you can compare it properly with other options.
What is the difference between IT support and Microsoft 365 managed services?
IT support usually covers all of your technology, including laptops, networks and printers. Microsoft 365 managed services focus on the tenant: users, permissions, SharePoint, Teams, security settings and licences. Many businesses have both, and the two can sit side by side.
Do licences come in the fee?
Only if your written plan says so. Otherwise treat Microsoft licences as a separate cost. Either way, we can review what you pay for and advise on what you could drop.
What response times do you offer?
We work to target response times agreed in your plan, based on your working hours and how serious the issue is. They are targets rather than fixed promises, so check they suit you before you start.
Are you a managed service provider or a software company?
We are a software company that publishes SharePoint and Microsoft 365 apps, so this plan is focused on Microsoft 365, not general IT. If you also need laptops and networks looked after, keep your IT provider for that, and we can work alongside them.
Is there a minimum contract, and how do we leave?
The term and notice period are set out in your written plan before you agree to anything. The plan also covers how access is removed and how our notes on your tenant come back to you when it ends.
How do you handle security and access to our data?
We agree access in writing and ask only for what the work needs. Admin roles can be limited, logged in your tenant and removed when no longer required. UK GDPR arrangements are discussed with you and set out in writing.
