Copilot licence management tool and SharePoint exposure check

Make Copilot safe to switch on and worth what you pay: check exposure with ExposurePoint, then see which seats are used with UsagePoint.

In short

ExposurePoint and UsagePoint are Microsoft 365 Copilot tools from APPS 365, a UK app publisher. ExposurePoint scores one SharePoint site for Copilot exposure risk and fixes issues after you confirm. UsagePoint shows which Copilot seats are used, prices idle seats at your own rate and queues actions for approval.

The questions a Copilot rollout raises

Is it safe to switch on? Is it worth what we pay? These apps answer one each.

You are unsure whether a sensitive site is safe to expose to Copilot.

ExposurePoint gives that site one plain-English score and names every link, guest and wide-open file behind it.

You are paying for Copilot seats nobody opens.

UsagePoint prices idle seats in pounds at the price you pay, then lets you nudge, reclaim or reassign them with approval.

IT and finance are arguing over different numbers.

UsagePoint gives both the same renewal plan, plus a one-page summary with no names.

How the apps work together

Before rollout: exposure

Copilot can bring anything a person can open into its answers. ExposurePoint shows a site owner what that means for their site.

After rollout: usage

UsagePoint shows adoption by department and which seats sit idle, in time for your renewal window.

Nothing changes by itself

ExposurePoint fixes only after you confirm. UsagePoint actions wait in a queue for approval.

Inside your own tenant

ExposurePoint runs with no servers of ours. UsagePoint keeps usage data in your tenant and never reads prompts or answers.

What you can do with them

Each app's page has the full feature list. The main jobs are:

  • Score one SharePoint site for Copilot exposure, from 0 to 100
  • Find Anyone links, organisation links, guests and wide-open files
  • See idle Copilot seats priced at the rate you pay
  • Get a renewal plan and a one-page summary for finance

Where GovernPoint fits

ExposurePoint looks at one site at a time and suits the person who owns it. If oversharing runs across your whole SharePoint estate, GovernPoint finds and fixes it: every site gets a grade from A to F, and fixes come with preview, approval and a 30-day undo.

A sensible order to work in

  1. 1

    Check the exposure

Run ExposurePoint on the sites that worry you most and read the score.

  2. 2

    Fix what matters

Confirm the fixes on each site, or use GovernPoint when the problem spreads across many sites.

  3. 3

    Measure and decide

Once Copilot is live, use UsagePoint to find idle seats, act on them with approval and take the renewal plan to finance.

Trial and pricing

Each app has a 14-day full trial on install with no licence key. Each is priced separately, and the prices are on the app's own page.

  • 14-day full trial on install
  • No licence key needed for the trial

Frequently asked questions

How do I see who is using their Copilot licence?

UsagePoint shows which Microsoft 365 Copilot seats are in use and which are idle, using estimates from Microsoft's usage reports. It never reads prompts or responses, and never gives individual productivity scores or rankings.

How much are idle Copilot seats costing us?

UsagePoint answers this in pounds, at the price you actually pay rather than a list price. Its renewal plan shows the seat count to keep and the yearly difference.

How do I check one SharePoint site for Copilot exposure?

Use ExposurePoint, which checks one site at a time. It gives a score from 0 to 100, where higher means lower exposure, and needs no admin consent and no Graph permissions.

Do Microsoft's own reports already do this?

They cover part of it. UsagePoint starts from Microsoft's usage reports and adds the cost at your price, an approval queue for seat changes and a renewal plan to take to finance.

Is Copilot worth the cost per user?

It depends on how much your people use it, and that is what UsagePoint helps you measure. Adoption by department and idle seats at your own price give you evidence to decide with.
