EquipPoint

EquipPoint is SharePoint asset management and equipment tracking for Microsoft 365. Your asset register lives in your own SharePoint site and works in Microsoft Teams. Scan assets with a phone and see who has which equipment, where it is and when it is due back. There are unlimited users and assets, and the core asks for no Microsoft Graph consent.

Getting started

1. Add the app. Your SharePoint administrator adds EquipPoint to the app catalog.
2. Add the web part. A site owner edits a page on the site that will hold the register and adds the "EquipPoint Asset Management" web part (toolbox group Advanced).
3. Run set-up. The set-up wizard creates the EquipPoint lists on that site, and the 14-day evaluation of every feature starts there.
4. Scan. Add a few assets, print a sheet of labels, scan one with your phone, and try check-out, a stocktake and My kit in Teams.

Key features

• An asset register in SharePoint. Laptops, tablets, projectors, PE kit and tools, with custom fields, locations and a full history of every change.
• QR labels and NFC tags. Print QR labels on A4 sheets or write NFC tags. Each label opens the asset after sign-in.
• Check-out and My kit. Check out to people, locations or other assets, with due dates, reminders and a receipt in your library.
• Stocktakes. Scan what is there, and the report shows what was found, missing or unexpected.
• Inspections and faults. Scheduled PAT and other inspections with certificates, plus fault reports with a photo.
• UK register exports. A school template with the DfE register fields, and exports for your auditors and insurers.
