Handover Pro

Handover Pro runs a tracked, signed staff handover in SharePoint Online whenever someone leaves, changes role, passes on a piece of work, hands over a client or goes on leave. It maps the sites, libraries, lists and permissions of the person handing over, finds what would be lost, interviews them, moves their access through an approved plan you can roll back, and seals a verifiable handover pack. It runs in your own tenant, with no servers of ours and no Graph permissions.

Getting started

1. Add the app. A SharePoint administrator adds Handover Pro to the tenant app catalog, once for your organisation, and chooses whether to make it available to all sites. It needs no admin consent, no Azure app registration and no Microsoft Graph permissions.
2. Add it to a page. Create a page on the site you will run handovers from, for example an HR or IT site, with a one-column, full-width section. Add the Handover Pro web part (toolbox group Advanced) and publish the page.
3. Set up the site. Open the page as an owner of the site and follow the set-up. The people who start handovers must be owners of the site.
4. Start your first handover. Try it first on the 14-day free trial, which covers up to three handovers at a time, or add a licence key.

• Find the gaps. Files only this person knows about, items with no other owner, sharing links and check-outs.
• Interview in their words. Questions built from the gaps, answered by the person handing over.
• A cited handover document. Every statement cites a file, an item or an answer.
• An access plan you can undo. Access is added for the people taking over before it is removed, and every change is verified and can be rolled back until sealing.
• Sign-off and seal. Each person signs off, then a package is sealed with a PDF certificate and a tamper-evident audit trail.
