OnboardPoint

OnboardPoint Viewed: 27

OnboardPoint runs joiners, movers and leavers in SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. One record per person creates dated tasks for HR, IT, facilities, payroll, managers and buddies, so everyone sees their part and nobody chases by email. Onboarding records stay in your Microsoft 365 tenant, in SharePoint lists and libraries, and it needs no Microsoft Graph permission to start.

Getting started

  1. Add the app. A SharePoint administrator adds OnboardPoint to the tenant app catalog and enables it, keeping "Enable this app and add it to all sites" and "Add to Teams" on.
  2. Choose the onboarding site. Pick or create a modern SharePoint site for onboarding and add the OnboardPoint web part to a page, or open it as a full-page app.
  3. Run set-up. The first time a site owner opens OnboardPoint, the set-up wizard creates the lists, the documents library, the role groups and their permissions, and the starter pack you choose.
  4. Add it to Microsoft Teams. Add OnboardPoint as a tab in a team channel for HR and managers. New starters use the Teams personal app.
