QR Code Drop

QR Code Drop Viewed: 27

QR Code Drop turns a SharePoint folder into a drop point. Choose the library, the folder and the questions, print the QR code, and anyone can scan it with a phone, answer the questions and send photos or files with no sign-in and no app to install. The files land in your folder with the answers written into your library columns. Files go straight to your SharePoint and are never stored by us.

Getting started

  1. Add the app. In the SharePoint admin center open More features, then Apps, and upload the QR Code Drop package. A SharePoint administrator does this once.
  2. Connect a site. A Microsoft 365 admin opens the connect page, approves QR Code Drop once and picks the sites it may upload to.
  3. Add the web part. Edit a page on a connected site, add QR Code Drop from the Advanced section of the web part list and publish the page.
  4. Create your first drop point. Choose New drop point, work through the steps and choose Save and get the QR code. Your 14-day trial starts by itself at that moment.

Key features

  • Drop points in about two minutes. Start from site photos, defect reports, event photos, new starter documents or evidence from residents, with a live picture of the upload page.
  • Answers fill your columns. Questions write to text, choice, date, number and yes or no columns, and fixed values such as a project are set for people.
  • Rules and quarantine. Set file types, sizes and counts, an end date and an upload cap. Files that break the rules go to a _Quarantine folder.
  • Review before filing. A Review tab with thumbnails and answers, and Approve or Reject, before uploads reach the folder.
  • Personal request links. Send links to named people with their details filled in, a due date and reminders, and see who has sent their files.
  • QR Studio. Print posters and table tents, and design any QR code: colours, shapes, logos, frames, dynamic codes with scan counts and bulk codes.
